Some people are having JAVA related problems using the chat software. This has to do with the brain dead version of JAVA that Microsoft ships with all its browsers. We highly recomend that you update your JAVA software by going to SUN and downloading their latest version. It is a lot better and crashes a lot less. Some Simple Chat Tips

The chat allows you to change the fonts that you use to view the text. This will allow you to see more lines if you shrink the font down. You can change the font and other features by clicking on the "Settings" button on the left. The chat room can be full screen by clicking on the upper left corner. It can also be dragged larger by grabbing the edge of the window with the mouse and dragging. We recomend that users upgrade their browser to the latest version. Some of the older versions of Netscape and IE, cause the Chat to run slower then the newer versions. It has to do with how the older browser implement their Java calls. Some users have had a hard time connecting the chat server. It seems that the Java Chat Applett takes up a lot of memory and diskspace for temp files. If you defragment your disk and increase your cache and temp storage space, the Chat works. Accessories -> System tool's -> Disk defragmenter Accessories -> Internet option's -> Temporary Internet files You may notice a user named Coonhound in blue who is always there, but never talks. It is just the Admin Ops, watching. He might talk once in awhile, but mostly just watches...

Now you can upload icons for the Chat area! They need to be exactly 20x20 pixels and in Gif format. Once uploaded, they will be reviewed before being added to the icon area in Chat.
